This Spring brings lots of exciting new beginnings at RDA
Today was a beautiful spring morning at Green Cottage. We are all well rested after the Easter break and back in full swing with new riders, new ponies and new volunteers.
Some of our ponies are been retired to enjoy a well earned permanent rest. Piper, Toto, Prince, Chuckles and Monty have been amazing ambassadors for RDA and we are very grateful for to them for their hard work.
We are very fortunate to have kind people who lend us their ponies and with donations, we are able to purchase ponies that meet our strict criteria to solely work as RDA ponies. Kind, calm and reliable, they are all very sweet natured.
Introducing Fil and Jarl
We are very excited to introduce to you our 2 new Icelandic ponies, meet Fil and Jarl. A chestnut gelding and bay gelding both with impeccable manors and good naturs, and they are already yard favorites.
We look forward to seeing how they get on in the summer months. I am sure the new students will love them.
Volunteers always welcome
We require 3 volunteers per pony for our younger riders, so this requires a lot of volunteers in a mornings session.
If you have some spare time on a Thursday morning, then contact us to arrange a visit.
You do not need to be a ‘horsey’ person some of our long standing volunteers do not have experience of horses and ponies, but everyone will gain training and support and there will be a job for you.
Send us an email and we will get back to you to discuss further.
